It could be on full screen. In full screen, the close/minimize/unmaximize buttons are in a toolbar which appears when you move the mouse to the top of the screen.

If it isn't that, a workaround is to use Alt+Space to get a menu with these options, or right click on the firefox item in the window list (at the very bottom of the screen).

Thanks.. The Alt Space bar works but I want to see the window so I can open notes or even play a game if I get bored

Try moving your top takbar as sometimes java resizes your firefox window to larger than the current desktop area and stuff gets hidden behind the top taskbar.

Good luck and regards from

This was happening to me sometimes.

The F11 key is the toggle for Full Screen vs a Window. Press F11 and then close Firefox. It should save this as your default the next time you open Firefox.

Also on the View menu there is a check box next to Full Screen. Make sure this is unchecked.
