Firefox Browser does not minimumize on desktop unless you choice and leave top toolbar customize option window open

Firefox Browser does not minimize on desktop unless you choice and leave the top toolbar "customize option window open"? It seems to me that the maximum window size is to big for desktop size. I'm a new user of ubuntu and I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find an option for it.

do using alt+f9 (minimizing) and alt+f10 (maximizing) help in your case ?

Hey thanks amit.. but should'nt firefox 3.0 have max and min tabs on the upper right window of the program?
