I can not install the printer

what I do

what's the printer model?
What have you tried so far?

I too cannot operate my HP laserjet 1020 printer,it will not be accepted,and the message keeps showing "printer not connected"but I have even used a new cable and another ethernet outlet on my new computer,besides running the install driver disc several times,I am getting really desperate.
