updates missing

Asked by blaine baker

I usually get several updates on a regular basis, sometimes only 1 and sometimes many. The last few days, none. I did have problems with the panel top and bottom. The update notification was in the top panel. Now, I don't have any updates. That may be normal but usually there are many during the week.
Is there any way I can check to see if it is still functional? Thanks...

you don't have to worry about updates because unlike any proprietary operating system UBUNTU does not give out periodic updates.UBUNTU is an open source distribution and releases updates as soon as the problems are found and do not wait for the time to release updates.
when a system is newly installed you will get more updates and as time passes the number of updates will gradually decrease as errors are corrected
