Hello

The Safari web browser is designed for Mac OS, and thus can't run on Ubuntu.

Therefore, there's a windows version of Safari, that may be used with wine.

You'll find more information about the latter at this address : https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wine

I have used Safari under wine, but trust me you don't want to use Safari as your everyday browser.

I recommend Safari under Ubuntu (with wine) just for webdesigners/developers that want to check browser compatibility.

Once you have installed wine you should download the windows version of Safari and see how that goes. But again: DO NOT USE SAFARI AS YOUR EVERYDAY BROWSER IN UBUNTU, USE FIREFOX, EPIPHANY, OPERA OR ANY OTHER NATIVE BROWSER!

I just got done installing Safari.

It works great & it's fast!

Follow this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgITJUdlsJk

All you do is go to the Ubuntu Software Center & in the search bar type PLAYON LINUX, then install, then open playon, then click install, then select internet from the left column, then select either Windows 7 or Safari

I was using the terminal option to manually add it & couldn't figure it out. I hope this helps!
