Hello,
do you want to remove ubuntu ? or install windows and keep ubuntu ?
In the first case you have to ask windows to remove all partitions on your hard disk and create new NTFS partition.
In the second case you can use a tool such as gparted to create new ntfs partition and keep ubuntu partition. When installing windows you have to choose the new ntfs partition.

i'm not vista expert but i remember that in xp there is a step where you have to choose the partition where windows should be installed, and in this step you can remove existing partitions.
Otherwise you can use ubuntu livecd to remove all partitions with the gparted tool (in system menu -> administration) and create new ntfs one.

Can you help with this problem?
