Hello

You need to install flash

you need to have extra repositories enabled..
To enable all the software repositories do ref this link..

http://psychocats.net/ubuntu/sources

after getting all the required repositories enabled

Type the following command in a terminal (applications -> accessories -> terminal)

sudo aptitude install flashplugin-nonfree

Please refer these articles for more information on installing flash player:

Hi again if I do this in Terminal then I got "ERROR: Your architecture, \'x86_64\', is not supported by the
       Adobe Flash Player installer."
I am running AMD64 64bit of U.E. ubuntu 8.04 Hardy and still can not play youtube video.
is some thing else I can do?

gretarsson,

I am using the x86_64 architecture also. I view you tube video. All I have done is to install flashplugin-nonfree. You can find it in synaptic. System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager

Just search for flashplugin-nonfree, mark it, and install it.

If this resolves your question, please mark this question Solved.

Thanks!

Harvey
