Ok I have firefox in spanish but I think I can help you still.

First go to Tools>Options>Privacy, then it should appear a button labeled as "show cookies..." in the Cookies panel. There you can delete them one by one.

The FireFox I use when I use Ubuntu does not have the "Options" selection
available under "Tools". The last selection is "Clear Private Data". I don't understand why the two are different.

At least in the Firefox shipped with Hardy, the cookie dialog can be found in Edit -> Preferences -> Privacy -> Show cookies.
