migrating from firefox 3.0 beta 5 to firefox 3

Asked by gans

i had fire-fox 3 beta 5 as a part of my hardy heron.
I downloaded Firefox 3 recently. When i tried watching videos through you-tube,it said "Install missing plug-ins"(flash plug-in). i installed the package...
it still says the same thing...

i m using fire-fox 3.0 whose contents are in a file in my home directory.

every time i invoke fire-fox from shell prompt it opens up beta 5

ow do i move completely from beta 5 to firefox 3 ????

to move from ff3 beta 5 to ff3 just activate the update repository in synaptic and update your system. ff3 will be automatically installed.

yes

If you're using Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron), go to System > Administration > Software Sources, and make sure the Hardy proposed updates repository is checked (I think it's the second or third tab), click Reload, use Update Manager to check for and install updates for Firefox only. Then go back to Software Sources and uncheck the proposed updates. and ff3 final version will be installed

If you have 7.10 gutsy then download the tar.bz2 to your home dirctory and then please refer
