This sounds like a bug. I would search the opened bug reports and if you don't find anything file a new one. Please follow the following guide when submitting the bug:

are you using torbutton 1.1.17 alpha? that may be the problem. it has a bug that disables firefox from loading javascript modules.

are you using the hardy-proposed repository? if you are, don't use it unless you want to live on the burning edge. the updates are unstable.

yes I do,
then which repository should I use, and how can I change them?

Changing repositories is very easy. Go to System > Administration > Synaptics > Settings > Repositories.
ps: I'm using the proposed rep and have no problem with FF and bookmarks.

somthing tels me too, that's not the problem.
the new for today are I can't open any program trough gksu, It just disapears before I get to enter password.
also: applications menu lost it's subitems( aka IT IS EMPTY!!!! help!)
I still can get into normal firefox with sudo, and then it really works fine.
this all means that the problem is more like a security / permission problem.

I was trying to apply all kinds of workarounds and noticed I can't copy, only move files
fd showd me I simply ran out of disk space on root!!(the kids played too much with amule)
this, plus gksu2.0 bug was responsible for the strange thins
thank you everybody
