Well I trying to Wacth Videos on my Broswer but no sound comes out. And Also i wish to Re-install Ubuntu

 Well Basically I want to know why no Sound comes of my Browser Such as. Videos,music and games that some times I played . Wondering why. My Browser is Mozilla Firefox 3. and some Application either no sound comes out. Such as Gajim a Jabber Client. and the rest is fine playing music and movies, Videos and so on. but some application don't make sound any help here Please help. i already setup the application to make warning sounds and such but i don't know why no sounds is been made.?
 I hope is there is no problem with my sound card.

P.S. I wish to know how to Re-install Ubuntu again. Just it case i have to so that problem can be fix.

Please open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install libflashsupport

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Then please edit /etc/firefox/firefoxrc:

sudo gedit /etc/firefox/firefoxrc

and modify or add the row:
FIREFOX_DSP="aoss"
