how to use firefox for RSS feeds

Asked by Joe Gunto

I have not subscribed to any rss feeds yet, and I would like to know if firefox has built in rss features, and how to use them. Sage info seems to indicate it works with the rss features that are already built into firefox. Live Bookmarks seems like the feature available. How do I use that feature, and is Sage or something like it necessary also?

I'm running Firefox 3 Beta 5 on Hardy, and it does in fact support RSS feeds.

For example, I went to a page that had a RSS feed, and the little orange RSS icon appears to the right of the URL, in the location bar. Clicking it displays the RSS feed, and gives you an option at the to subscribe to the feed in a few different ways, including a live bookmark in firefox itself.

Your question was filed under Firefox 3, but it's similar (though not quite the same) in Firefox 2 as well.
