Should i uninstalled firefox 2.0.0.12 now that i have installed firefox 3.0?

No If you have installed firefox 3.0 it will be automatically upgraded from 2.0.0.12 to the latest version you have installed

But the firefox 2.0.0.12 entry is still in synaptic repositories and it is also marked and so is firefox 3.0 marked too. Bhavani?

yes.... But dont worry... It will be in the repos but it will be upgraded... And FF 2 still stays in the repositories and it is marked as its the default browser and its installed in gutsy... Now you have FF3 it will be upgraded....
