Hi :)

Lol,see if you can see the other machines on the network. From the top taskbar click on

Places - Network - errr, the folder that has your work-group's name

Can you see them? If so then they should be able to see you when you right-click on a folder and choose "Sharing Options".

Sometimes if the main server there is a Windows one then it can create difficulties. Allegedly there is a "tick-box" in Windows that defaults to stopping any non-Windows machine from sharing the network! Your machine would still be able to access the internet through the router but just wouldn't be able to see the other machine, which would be able to see each other.
