Verifying whether a bookmarked page is a fake

I have bookmarked a page of a domain, but I suspect the bookmarked page is a fake. Does a bookmarked page, whether a fake or not, have an inherent IP-address which can not be faked by any means? In the affirmative, could I detect such an inherent IP-address in order to compare it with an indubitable IP-address, for example the one provided by "Whois.net - Domain names"?

you can ping the doamin name the bookmark is in, you can then verify this against whatever you like

You can only *really* verify SSL sites.
