Regular releases of filezilla - keeping up to date

Asked by James Sears

I'm on 8.04 desktop and just migrated there from XP.

I use filezilla daily to move stuff between various boxes.

In XP I used to get notified of filezilla releases by filezilla. And I used to appreciate the bugs that got fixed. But when I moved to 8.04 I noticed that filezilla was way way old. I had to build the latest version myself!

What I'd like to know is why was 8.04's filezilla so old? And, how can it - possibly via some of my helf - be kept upto date so that apt-get update pulls out the latest version?

Thanks - a useful link I was not aware of.

This is good enough for me so I'll say my "problem" is solved.
