Cannot see mounted drives in Filezilla FTP

Asked by Vaughan Luke

Hi,
Sorry if this is a very noob (newb) question, I have only just discovered Ubuntu and I love it!

My problem is simple.
I have mapped\bookmarked a number of Windows shares but I cannot seem to view them via Filezilla FTP client.
I can only see my local disk and not any of the mounted shares.
They are visible within 'Places' and I can successfully navigate them.

Please help - it is driving me crazy.

Many thanks,
Luke

If you mount them then you can access them via their mount point. If you used the networks place then they are not REALLY mounted but should be accessible via ~/.gvfs

If you mount them PROPLERLY using an entry in /etc/fstab or a mount command then the mount point you have used will be the folder you access the files from.

Can you help with this problem?
