can't install Nero Linux 3 on Ubuntu

Asked by scott

I downloaded the Nero Linux 3 package and it's on my desktop. But I can't install it , with Archive Manager or anything else, I keep getting error messages. I even tried custom commands with both the RPM and Debian from the Nero Installation Manual for Linux 3.

The error message is something on the order of "file not supported". I'll try bahaa's solution, but I'll need a little bit of the computer-ese translated (English only in this instance please --- I don't know if my French or my Spanish is good enough to plumb these depths).

Only the 64-bit Debian Nero Linux 3 worked for me. I even got a gdebipackagemanager prompt and it installed right away. Now I've got to figure out how to configure Nvidia to this app. I received a prompt, but I'm still learning how to resize and move windows. Any ideas?
