You can't not install exe files to install software in ubuntu (unless you are using wine). You should install a program using a package manager like synaptic or double clicking a .deb package. Go to system-->administration-->Synaptic package manager
Enter your user password when it prompts. Then use the search button and search for pidgin. When it finds it, right click and mark for install. Then apply to changes. It will download and install pidgin for you. After it is completed. you can find pidgin under applications.

Pidgin Version: 1:2.5.2-0ubuntu1.1 is already installed and included into Ubuntu you can access to it from menu:
Applications → Internet → Pidgin ....

Why you are trying to install a Windows 32 bits executable in Ubuntu... ?

Thank you
