How do I remove trojans from my computer?

I get a warning that my computer has been infected with trojan and therefore needs to be removed..I have tried to remedy this by myself but, kept failing in every attempt. How do I do remove these Trojans?..Help!

So you need a tool for windows. Because most of the linux virus scanners are able to detect the virus but not to remove it. You need a Windows tool.

Yes, i think ClamAv can remove viruses from Windows - it'd be pretty useless otherwise. You just have to run it from the command line and i can't remember the command so try typing

clamscan --help

to see the commands for that.

Ok, i've had a quick look through and think the "clamscan --move" command is probably the best one but you'll need to set up a "Quarantine" folder somewhere handy
