How do I put a picture on my GRUB screen? The one which boots up

Asked by TRILEY56

I want to put a picture on my Grub screen I have tried to use splash but I did not have very much luck. Is there a command that would put a picture right on Grub: for example: convert - resize 640x480-colors 14 wallpaper.png splash.xpm && gzip splash.xpm chmod 644 splash.xpm.gz sudo splash.xpm.gz/boot/grub sudo/boot/grub/menu.1st/boot/grub/menu.1st_backup. BUT THIS DOES NOT WORK IT DID THE FIRST TIME I TYPE IT WHAT IS WRONG?

So, edit your menu.lst file (e.g. using "gksudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst").
Find line
#color cyan/blue white/blue
uncomment it a choose colors you like.

Can you help with this problem?
