How do I download ALL of my files from Ubuntu NOW simple & easy?

I NEED to download ALL of my files from Ybuntu, NOW--tonight--07-31-2014. Or, they will be lost FOREVER. I had several people tell me they would come & help me do this. NONE fo them came. Now, I am on my own & CLUELESS.
Firefox will NOT accept my command to download the files from Ubuntu. What should I do? I have done EVERYTHING Firefox has advised me to do.
What now?
PLEASE HELP! I am "STUPID" when it comes to computers & ESP. this entire UBUNTU "we like to mess w/ your head software system".
