Launch bar and bar at top of screen have disapeared

After restart for up dates, I must have done something and the program launch bar down the side and the bar at the top with power time etc have disapeared. I'm not experienced with linux and have run this computer to try learning the ropes. This is the first major herdal.

If you press CTRL+ALT+T do you see a terminal?

If so, run:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; lspci | grep -i vga

What is output?

When I entered what you said in the terminal this is the return.

No LSB modules are available.
