LibreOffice is Pre-installed in Ubuntu. If you have another Ubuntu Flavor where LibreOffice is not pre-installed (such as Lubuntu or Xubuntu) you can open a terminal (CTRL+ALT+T) and install Libreoffice with below command

    sudo apt-get install libreoffice

This command will pull all the libreoffice related packages and install them in your system.

You don't need to download anything ... if you already have libreoffice but you want to upgrade to the latest version .. then follow this
