installing aim

Im totally new to this os and I downloaded aim and I dont know how to install it. Any answers please and thanks

As far as I know, there are no recent versions of AIM available for Linux. Nevertheless, you can use Pidgin, which is preinstalled on Ubuntu 7.10 to connect to your AIM account and chat with your AIM buddies. Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

tricia, you just create a new account in Pidgin and choose AIM as protocol.
