how to download zipped files to microSD memory card from computer

I downloaded a zipped software file to my computer and put my MicroSD card in my computer to download file so I can put it on my cell phone but its not working I got a error report "it said error copying the destination reach is read only" how can i down load the files to MicroSD card the right way. I tryed to also drag files and put them on SDcard but still didnt work error read the destination reached is read only.

Copy the file. Then, open a Terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T), and type in "sudo nautilus", without quotes. In the new window that pops-up, go to your microSD card, and paste the file.

I Think the micro SD adapter you are using is having the Read Only switch turned , turn it off and reinsert card ...
try copying now
micro sd card adapter switch is located on the side and the switch slides
