maud program installation

Asked by Chiara Liverani

I have just downloaded the Maud program (material analysis using diffraction) and applied the java6-jre package on my 8.10 Ubuntu, but I cannot proceed with the installation. By double clicking the Maud folder I only get the list of all libraries, script shells and documents related to the program. How can I actually run it the first time? On a kind of giude on the internet it says to "uncompress" the donloaded file to get the Maud directory, but again I do not know how to do so.

Many thanks

Where can I download it? I can check what is in the package and tell you what you could do if you want.

Ok. You must extract all the files (probably already done)
Then double click on the "Maud.sh" file. It should run it.

(I just checked what was in the "readme.txt" file, it was explained there ;)
