is not installable on build daemons

Asked by Michal Suchanek

I tried to build a package that depends on fig2dev and the build daemon says it's not installable:

https://launchpadlibrarian.net/281593756/buildlog_ubuntu-xenial-i386.sane-backends_1.0.26-git20160803-xenial0_BUILDING.txt.gz

I have the package installed locally so what gives?

edit:

ok, it's been renamed from transfig to fig2dev and most ubuntu releases have transfig

for some reason the daemon complains that the package is uninstallable and not that it does not exist which would be obvious

fig2dev exists in the standard repositories only for xakkety.

Try backporting it to xenial in your PPA, and the dependency probably will be satisfied
