save (convert) .flv and .mov files to mwv?

Need a way to save various formats as .wmv video file. Somewhat familiar with CLI, but still mostly a GUI guy with the Ubuntu.

sudo apt-get install ffmpeg

This thing can convert many formats!

Please also try the winff front end for ffmpeg there is a ppa (Personal Package Archive) you can add to your Ubuntu.

https://launchpad.net/~paul-climbing/+archive/ppa

then you can install winff like any other packages in Ubuntu for example using terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install winff
