F-Spot: please tell me how to use F-Spot from the beginning

please tell me how to use F-Spot from the beginning,middle and end,,,for some unknow reson i can not view any of my pictures that i have stored within F-Spot please explain this to me as if i am a 4 year old child so that i may understand what i am doing so that i may see all of my pictures again thanks david

You need to tell it to import images from the pictures folder. I believe it's in the File menu or it may be in the tools -> preferences
