Duplicate Evolution entries in menu

Asked by Roman Polach

I see two items in menu for launching Evolution mail:
 * Applications / Internet / Evolution Mail
and
 * Applications / Office / Evolution

both of them seems to have the same function. Why is there such duplicity?

Yes, I noticed that too some time ago.
If you look at the menu entries you will see that Internet/Evolution Mail is launched as "evolution --component=mail" while Office/Evolution is launched as "evolution-2.10".
Now, since evolution is just a symlink to evolution-2.10, I guess the real difference is that you could use evolution for tasks/memo/etc. (and use another email client).
Using Internet/Evolution Mail will automatically switch to the Mail component while using Office/Evolution I think will automatically switch to the last used component.
