hotmail, evolution, smtp

evolution just does not send any message through hotmail. What am I doing wrong?

settings:

server-type: POP
server: smtp.live.com:587
server demands authentication is: ticked
secure connection: ssl
type: flat
user name: my complete e-mail adress
remember password: ticked

anybody?

     I'm using Windows Live which is similar setup, and have following:

Receiving Email:

server-type: POP
server : pop3.live.com
(Secure) : SSL encryption
Authent. : Password

Sending Email:
Server Type : SMTP
Server: : smtp.live.com
(server requires authentication ticked)
Use Secure : TLS encryption
Type : Login
