I'm having a problem with it timing out on the second account server when sending

I set up my evolution with two accounts both with different names.
the default is a pop server which sends and receives.
the second is a imap server that receives mail but times out using the pop server.

Confirm the configuration is good. If you can post the pop server we can check that it is valid.

the pop is only on receiving for my sasktel.net account it sends on a smtp server.
the imap account is members.cupe.ca

Hmm, after some review my guess is your server only responds to IMAP requests.

Scanning members.cupe.ca (209.29.182.246) [1000 ports]

Discovered open port 25/tcp on 209.29.182.246
Discovered open port 143/tcp on 209.29.182.246
Discovered open port 443/tcp on 209.29.182.246
Discovered open port 80/tcp on 209.29.182.246

As you can see there is no open POP3 port. I did not check for alternate ports.
