can't get my incoming emails

Asked by betty drury

BT broadband helpline say they do not have training to "repair" faults in Ubuntu/Evolution. Sometimes my tool bar disappears and I cannot get any incoming emails. What do I do to rectify this

Maybe you should try Thunderbird (from Synaptic).

Make sure your Evolution is not set to offline mode

To do that:
Open the Evolution screen, click on "File" (top left of the screen) and then select "Work Online" from the drop-down menu.

Also, make sure your settings are correct. The settings that you used in the earlier Mail client you used should be reciprocated here.

Alternatively, if Evolution does not work for you, you can install "Thunderbird" from Applications -> Add/Remove Prgorams
