Don't See Exchange Server Option in Fesity Kubuntu

Asked by AEngineer

I just installed kUbuntu Feisty on my Dual-boot machine. One of the first things I did was get Evolution since I need to connect to my campus exchange server.
It apparently installed fine. However when I attempt to configure my account "Exchange Server" is not offered as a server option as is shown in the various tutorials I've seen. I can, in fact, get my Email via an Imap server connection, but don't get calendar or tasks.

I hope someone can tell me what I must do. It looks as though I may be missing a plugin. I looked and see that there are quite a few installed including "Exchange Operations" - if this makes any difference.

"About" reports that I have Evolution 2.10.1

Thanks

Thanks for the question.

If I remember correctly, exchange was using imap protocol. Maybe that works.... However, I haven't used exchange for a long time, so I might be wrong.

I hope this helps

Unfortunately, as I tried to say in my original message, I don't get full functionality using IMAP. I assume that I should see the "exchange server" server type in order to get that full functionality. That, I think, is the core of my problem.

Do you have the package "evolution-exchange"?

sudo apt-get install evolution-exchange

Hi, Folks.
I have the same problem, except... I can get everything to work fine on my desktop with Evolution 2.10.1, but not on my laptop with Evolution 2.6.1. Is this a version problem?

Can you help with this problem?
