Can send emails but can not receive

I recommend to change to Firefox. Evolution makes quite a lot of problems. Firefox is perfect.

I think you mean Thunderbird. Firefox is a webbrowser, Thunderbird is an email client.

how do you wanna receive mails from a pop account with firefox??

you could try to use thunderbird or if you want to stick to evolution perhaps this answer helps:
