Receiving duplicate emails (POP) in evolution

I've tried looking for a solution in the other answers, but I don't seem to be having any luck.
I use Evolution mail as my default email client. When I receive emails from my yahoo, gmail and hotmail accounts I get the messages duplicated and received within seconds of each other.
Any suggestions?

It might help to tell us what version of evolution you are using (look under "about").
