Can receive mail but not able to send

Asked by rsmith@rushmore.com

Binary package hint: evolution

I receive my mail just fine as far as I can see. But anything I 'send' ends up in the outbox and stays there. Nothing I can do causes it to actually send.
Not sure of my version of Ubunto but upgraded when the newest came out.

This happened a couple of years ago but when I emptied the 'outbox' it seemed to be better. This problem occurred over this past weekend. I have emptied my outbox and tried again to send only to have my one email still sitting there.

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs.

Youse Thunderbird and not evolution. Thunderbird is a professional Email client - and evolution isn't it.

Hope it helps.
