Multiple mail accounts

Asked by Pete French

Hi
I am currently using SeaMonkey on a Fedora Core 5 machine.
I use this mainly because I have four email addresses from my ISP and this is the only client that I have found that will automatically put incoming mail into the correct folder.
Yes I have to reset the default outgoing address in preferences each time I want to send mail but this is an inconvenience I have lived with to get the four mail addresses in the one application at the same time.
I am looking at upgrading to ubuntu with the Evolution mail client.
Is the Evolution 2.24.1 as released in ubuntu 8, capable of the functionality that I am looking for?
I would dearly like to have one mail client that will receive mail and put it into the appropriate user inbox folder and also have the capability of sending mail from the correct address with a simple mouse click selection while in the compose mail window.
Thanks

Probably asking too much but as an afterthought will it also cope with another two email addresses from a different supplier

Hello. I run Ubuntu 8.10 with Evolution 2.24.2. I have 7 emails. I can send "from" *any* one very easy.

Although I choose my own folder after messages are in the inbox, if you want automatic send to folder you need to create a "message rule". This "rule" can say - any message from <email address hidden> should be moved to folder "abc". Then, your incoming mail will follow these "rules". I think it is very good.

Yes, you can select some incoming filters to direct mail to a particular folder, but you cannot do so by "account" as you can with Outlook express. ie, I would like to filter account "A" to a folder "A", account "B" to folder "B" etc but accounts are not a filter option!

I am using Evolution 2.22.3.1 and added my wife as a user. I don't see her mail even though it says she received a new mail. How do I set this up so we can see her mail? I am new to this so be gentle.. Thanks
