No help installed with evolution?

Asked by Richard Leckinger

There's no help file installed with evolution in Feisty. I searched Synaptic without joy for a help file, perhaps left uninstalled for space saving. While my real question is about getting a signature onto my emails automatically, (not intuitive), Evolution help has always answered my questions in the past, including this one after the last fresh Ubuntu install! Where is it?
Cheers

Hi,

not sure about the evolution docs - the 'old fashioned way' would have been:

$man evolution
:P

To answer your actual question though:

Get the GNU privacy assistant:

$sudo aptitude install gpa

then create a key using GPA (Application -> Accessories -> GNU privacy assitant -> Keys -> New key) - Make note of the Key ID

Open Evolution go to your account settings -> security -> add the Key ID -> tick always sign outgoing messages.

Hope this helps,
The Migrant
