Somehow lost E-mails in Inbox, how can I retrieve them?

Asked by Ju

Hi, I somehow lost all the e-mails in my Inbox, I'm having two accounts installed. The e-mails I had already moved into subfolders are still there. I don't know what has happened, I just suddenly realised that all the other mails had gone. The e-mails are still on the pop server of my provider, so how can I retrieve them again to be shown in my evolution inbox?

Thanks for any help.

I experienced this myself a few years ago. If I recall rightly, you can re-retrieve you emails by turning off the account, then turning it back on:

Choose Preferences from the Edit menu
Choose Mail Accounts
Uncheck the account that has the mail
Close preferences
Open Preferences again, go to Mail Accounts again
Check the account that has the mail
Choose Send and Receive from the File menu

I hope you repull your missing mail.

I found all of my messages moved to the Junk folder after upgrading to Gutsy Tribe 3. Hope it helps.

Can you help with this problem?
