Cannot send says blacklisted

Asked by tojo

From time to time I try to reply to a message I have received and it says I cannot because the whatever IP address is blacklisted. Now normaly I just start a new mail and send it and there is nor problem boom it is gone right away.

Well today I am trying to get some information from <email address hidden> and it will not go says it ids blacklisted. Now this would be no biggie but I can fine no where to edit the black list actually I cannot find anything on the black list.

Pulling out what little hair I have left.

Oh I am using Ubuntu Hardy heron I think if that is the latest then it is Heron.

tojo, please post the exact message you receive -- we do not have enough data to help you right now (but do have some ideas).

Thank you for your reply. I also remembered that when you click a email link on a website the compose page pops up but it will not send those either

here is the error message.

Evolution Error

Error while preforming operation

mail from command failed: 75.9.214.146 is blacklisted

Thank you for any and all help you may be able to give. I know your time is invaluable but I do appreciate it even if I can not say thanks enough.

This looks as a dynamic IP address from SBC, so I am guessing it is your own IP address. So... it may be that your email provider has blacklisted this IP address (or IP address range). Try contacting your email provider to verify if indeed they have blacklisted you.

Can you help with this problem?
