Evolution set up

When I opened Evolution for the first time, I don't recall that I got a setup Wizard or that I was asked which email program I was using (Yahoo and Gmail). Right now, I can compose and I can receive, but I can't send. When I go to instructions for setting up Evolution, I'm asked to enter the server I am using. I am not at an office, so I don't have a systems administrator, and I have no idea how to respond to this question. Maybe you can walk me through the proper installation of Evolution.
