Undo command for moving emails to a folder

Asked by Quibus

When I move an email from my inbox to a folder, I sometimes want to undo this (e.g. wrong folder. Sometimes I didn't notice the folder I dropped the email in and I had to search through several folders). In MS Outlook or Thunderbird there is a "undo" command in the menu. In evolution I haven't found this.
Does anyone know a method to apply this function?

No, there is no undo for this on Evolution. There is a bypass, though (but sort of ugly):
 * click on View, and UNselect "Hide deleted messages"; now all deleted messages will be visible with a horizontal strike through the line;
 * move the selected message again. Moving it will unmark it as deleted on the target folder;
 * click again on View, and select "Hide deleted messages" to unclutter the folder view.
