When I move a mail to another folder, it stays in the original folder with a line through the text

Asked by ahab_bing

When I move a mail to another folder, it stays in the original folder with a line through the text. I don't see the point in it - if I move a mail, I don't need a temporary reminder where the mail used to be.

View - Hide deleted messages was already checked. If I drag and drop a message from the folder
I'm examining to a folder in the sidebar, the message remains crossed out in the main folder. It stays
crossed out until I move another message, at which point the first crossed out message disappears and
the second appears crossed out. If I move a message I don't want to see it any more.

" If I move a message I don't want to see it any more." I'm sure you don't - but saying it again won't help.

I had the same problem at one point and needed to expunge the folder - it's in one of the menus use that see if the problem goes.

Nope - the problem is still there. A new evolution has just been installed - Evolution 2.22.2 - problem still there. Thanks anyway for looking at the problem.

OK - no idea then I'm afraid especially if you have the update.

There's a bug - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/230998

Quote "When deleting multiple emails in the evolution GUI, sometimes (as in every second time frequency) the last email is left visible in strike-through."
