Hi

I have a serious problem since I'm using evolution 2.22.1.1 on ubuntu 8.04. I cannot add attachements from a network drive. I allways get the error message:

Do you have the rights to open the file from another application? This looks like permission problem.

Also try to mount the share locally on your PC with you normal user account and try again.

Hi,

yes I have permissions to open the file. It opens without any problems. I also tried with a ftp connection but also no luck.

Thanks

If you copy the file to your local machine first are you able to insert it?

If you are connected to the windows share when you select insert attachment you should see in the left hand side of the Insert Attachment Dialog under places some thing like sharename on servername

from there you can select files from the shared directory

Yes I can insert it from local drive but not from a shared folder.

I know how to add from a share. I can select the file but after I click "OK" the error message comes up.

Thanks

If you run Terminal and goes to the target file at your network and set permission, works?

Can you help with this problem?
