Hi Paul,

Do you mind telling us what eMail service you're using and the settings you entered on your Evolution account?

Have you configured correctly your POP3 server?

Please keep in mind when we ask for the settings, please mask any sensitive information. Also, you may want to upgrade to a newer version of Ubuntu as breezy will soon be obsolete and there are quite a bit more/improved features in the newer versions. Soon you also will not be receiving any more security updates for breezy.

An example of going through the setup wizard is provided on the following page.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UsingGmailWithEvolution

Now as far as upgrading, you can go with a fresh install or an upgrade. If you are going to do a fresh install, I would recommend going to 6.10 Edgy Eft as it is the latest version of Ubuntu, and starts up a whole lot faster then previous versions. To do this you would have to download an ISO image from http://www.ubuntu.com/products/GetUbuntu/download and burn it to a blank disk following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto

If you want to do an in place upgrade, you can have a look at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DapperUpgrades
as you can only upgrade to Dapper from Breezy

Then of course if you choose, you can upgrade again from Dapper to Edgy(the latest release) by following the directions on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EdgyUpgrades

Best Regards,

I followed the instructions you gave step by step and I still can't receive emails. I can send them just fine.

Can you help with this problem?
