clearing unsent mal-formed mail from evolution outbox

I have composed a mail with an invalid email address by mistake, this bad email wont send and remains in the evolution outbox and causes an error to be shown when I press send and recieve

In evolution on the left you should have a section "On this computer" and within that is the Inbox, Drafts, Junk, Outbox, Sent and Trash. Double click "Outbox" and the offending mail should appear on the right. Either delete it by clicking on the mail and pressing the delete key on the keyboard or right click the mail and choose delete or go to the edit menu and choose Delete Message, or highlight and press CTRL+D, or drag it to the trash.. the options are endless :)

Alternatively double click it and correct the email address, then hit send again, then try to send/receive again.

This solved my problem. I had complicated it by having the Show Option set to something other than Show All Messages.
