email addresses

does anyone know how I can move my email addresses so I can access them using ubuntu operating system, at the moment I have to switch back to windows to access them, but I would prefer to stay on the ubuntu site and access them from here. Thank you

Why dont you use evolution? or webmail.

I know I can access my mail through webmail, does ubuntu not have a mail program of its own

Of course it does have one, it's evolution has I said, and it is istalled by default.

You also can install thunderbird.

I don't think I explained myself very well I would like to import my present email addresses into evolution from my present isp webmail if at all possible

From within the Evolution program if you select "File -> Import" you will see all the ways that Evolution can import data from other programs. Since your ISP webmail is not a "program", you'll need a way to export the addresses from there into a format that Evolution can handle (most likely .csv).
