new mail does not show

Asked by cobra

The program indicates that I can take down my mail, but it does not show in the "inbox", even though I've chosen: view all.

This might sound silly, but did you click on the correct folder? You need to click on your inbox to be able to see your mails.

Of course. Sorry. I have a Danish edition, so therefore I do not know the exact English therms. But I clicked on View>Layout. Here you can choose to show or hide the side panel, status line and tool line. In my case they were hidden when I started. It took me some time to find out how it works, even though its actually rather simple. Embarrassing.
